Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction(MBSR)

Goal of the Program: The purpose of the program is to introduce students to Reiki Level 1 so they may use the skills to assist with self care and to enhance the patient care experience. Outcomes: Participants will be able to identify the Reiki precepts and hand positions, experience attunements and demonstrate a Reiki session on self and others. They will also be able to discuss the relationship of holistic nursing practice, including theories to Reiki and therapeutic presence. Participants who successfully complete Reiki 1 and practice for one month will be eligible to take Reiki Level 2.
